Warzone 2.0 is one of the most anticipated games in gaming. The game promises to be more extensive, better, and visually stunning than ever. However, the game has a large file size, which concerns many gamers.
According to a tweet by data miner Aggiorlamenti, Warzone 2.0 will be a massive download of around 115GB.
Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson confirmed the news. The original Warzone took up 175GB of PC storage and close to 100GB on consoles, in addition to the files for Modern Warfare (2019).
The exact file size for Warzone 2.0 on the PC is unknown, but it was derived from Xbox data, meaning PlayStation users can expect a similar size download. Considering the PC download of Warzone 1, it’s likely close to this mark.
Why is the File Size So Large? The large file size is a tradeoff for improved graphics and sprawling maps, such as the Al Mizrah. As video games evolve, the downloads will get larger, making them more visually impressive. However, this also means that more storage space is required.
Warzone 2.0 will have a more significant download than Modern Warfare II. The large game files of Warzone 2.0 will overtake the storage space used by Modern Warfare II. Gamers will need to make space for the new game or face the possibility of stopping playing one or all of their games.
Warzone 2.0 will officially launch on November 16, along with season 1 and the battle pass. The pre-load for the game will begin on November 14.
Warzone 2.0 is set to be a massive hit, but gamers will need to clear some space in advance with its large file size. The game promises to be a visual feast, with improved graphics and sprawling maps, but this comes at the cost of more storage space. Warzone 2.0 is sure to be worth the wait for many gamers despite the tradeoff.
