This groundbreaking initiative, led by True Gamers, a renowned eSports lounge network, pledges to reshape the gaming scene in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
True Gamers, the driving force behind this ambitious venture, brings with it a wealth of experience and expertise. Currently operating 14 gaming lounges in Dubai, True Gamers recently secured funding to expand into Saudi Arabia, establishing additional branches in the region. Their $280 million investment in Abu Dhabi signifies a bold step towards the realization of the eSports island dream.
The island will be built near Abu Dhabi’s Al Seef area and will have state-of-the-art gaming spots, professional training centers, and areas for making gaming content. Plus, there will be a fancy hotel to give visitors a fully immersive eSports experience, according to the company.

The UAE’s capital, known for its innovative spirit, is no stranger to embracing visionary projects. The eSports island is yet another testament to Abu Dhabi’s commitment to pioneering advancements in various sectors. With the creation of this dedicated gaming hub, Abu Dhabi aims to solidify its position as a frontrunner in the global eSports industry, which is estimated to be worth nearly $347 billion.

At its core lies the True Gamers eSports club, a state-of-the-art facility equipped with professional gaming training centers and the cutting-edge TG Arena, designed to host international tournaments of unparalleled scale and prestige.
Beyond its gaming facilities, the island boasts a luxurious hotel offering unique experiences tailored for gamers. From PUBG-style parachute check-ins to meticulously designed gaming rooms, every aspect of the accommodation reflects the island’s commitment to blending luxury with the thrill of eSports.
According to BCG, With over 60% of the Middle Eastern population identifying as gamers, Abu Dhabi’s eSports island is not just a recreational venture; it’s a strategic investment in the region’s burgeoning gaming community. The island will feature innovative programs like the GG Bootcamp, focusing on optimizing gamer performance through tailored nutrition and rest regimes.
While Abu Dhabi’s eSports island aims for global prominence, it faces stiff competition from Saudi Arabia’s ambitious ventures into eSports. Qiddiya City’s eSports district, set to be larger than the Vatican City, presents formidable competition, boasting the world’s largest eSports stadium and a plethora of luxury amenities.
