MyFixGuide spotted a listing by China’s 3C certification agency. This listing suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 would have two batteries with a combined capacity 3,595mAh.
This is more than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3’s 3,300mAh battery. It also has more than what a leak had previously suggested: a 3,400mAh battery.
The listing shows the battery capacity, but it is most likely the rated capacity. This is the minimum amount of battery you will get. Samsung and most other device manufacturers advertise the ‘typical capacity, an estimated average value for the storm. It’s a little less than the rated capacity.

This is the average value we discussed for the Z Flip 3 and the previous leak. With a rated capacity of 3,595mAh, the usual ability is likely even higher at approximately 3,700mAh. A figure that leaker @UniverseIce suggested.
This is around 400mAh more than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. It’s not insignificant, considering the screens look similar, and the chipset may be more efficient. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 may be more battery-efficient than its predecessor.
This claim is not without merit. It contradicts an earlier rumor. However, certification agencies such as this one usually work from official information, so it is highly likely to be correct.

A big boost, but we still want more
Smartphone battery life has been an issue for years. Foldable phones have smaller batteries and larger screens, making them more difficult to charge.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will likely be comparable to a larger conventional phone. Leaks suggest a 6.7-inch display. However, even a 3,700mAh battery would still be smaller than most juice packs found in phones that same size.
It is rare to find a phone larger than 4500mAh, but many phones are at 5,000mAh and higher.
The hinge, secondary display, and multiple sections required in a foldable smartphone mean more to them than regular smartphones. This means that battery space is less available unless you need something very chunky. This is a complex problem to solve.
Although the upgrade rumored here may be sufficient, it is still needed. Our Galaxy Z Flip 3 review referred to its battery as the “biggest problem.”
