The internet search giant Google is marking its 25th anniversary with a trip down memory lane. Founded by Stanford University students Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the company started as “BackRub” and later became the Google we know today. Over the years, Google has grown into a global tech powerhouse with billions of people using products like Gmail and Search.
Traditionally, Google has celebrated its birthday on September 27, even though it was officially incorporated on September 4. This year, to honor the occasion, Google unveiled a series of unique doodles, including past logos and a captivating GIF showing the transformation of “Google” into “G25gle.”

In a blog post, Google thanked users for evolving with them over the past 25 years. The company emphasized that while it’s forward-looking, birthdays are also a time for reflection. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who shared a vision to make the internet more accessible, worked tirelessly on their search engine prototype from their Stanford dorm rooms. The project eventually moved to Google’s first office, a rented garage, and on September 27, 1998, Google Inc. was officially born.

Google’s mission has remained consistent throughout its journey: “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.” Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, recently reflected on the company’s role in technology transformation and its future path, thanking users, employees, and partners for their contributions to Google’s success.
Pichai also emphasized the importance of innovation and adaptation, recognizing that what was once groundbreaking quickly becomes ordinary in the ever-evolving tech landscape. As Google celebrates 25 years of innovation and impact, it remains committed to shaping the future of the digital world.
