Kia and Hyundai have recalled nearly 3.4 million vehicles, and that too in the US, because there have been significant issues in many cars, so they have informed the owners to take their vehicles outside because of the risk of engine compartment fires.
The recall includes multiple SUVs that range from the 2010 to 2019 models.

This issue doesn’t need to be only present in the cars that are in the US; instead, it is a risk wherever these cars are currently worldwide.
The engine catches fire due to the fact that in these cars, the anti-lock brake control module leaks, causing it to come into contact with the fluid, and this issue can occur whether the vehicle is parked or during driving.
The dealers will change the anti-lock brake fuse for you free of cost. Kia has stated in their documents that they will begin sending notification letters to owners starting on November 14th. For Hyundai, the date for notification is November 21st.
Suppose you want to check whether your vehicle is affected or not. In that case, you can visit the website www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) to see if your vehicle is included in the recall or is affected.
Hyundai and Kia have had issues with fires in their cars since 2015. In 2018, the Center for Auto Safety asked U.S. regulators to make them recall some of their vehicles because of these problems.
According to their website, the carmakers have already recalled more than 9.2 million vehicles for problems with fires and engines, and this doesn’t even include the recalls they announced on Wednesday. In total, there have been over 20 different models affected, ranging from 2006 to 2021.
