On March 1st, 2022, the super limo pulled up, measuring 30.54 meters long (100 feet and 1.50 inches), barely beating its previous record set in 1986.
The American Dream limousine has achieved the remarkable feat of holding two Guinness World Records as the longest. Interestingly, it symbolizes the extravagant spirit of the 1980s, boasting unique features like themed rooms, a cinema, and even a pool with a diving board.
Despite its iconic status, the limo remains the longest today. It underwent an extensive three-year restoration effort, costing around $250,000. However, despite the restoration, some may find the revitalized American Dream limo slightly underwhelming, as seen in the images below.
In the middle of 2022, the revived American Dream made a big comeback. It maintained its Guinness World Record status and set a new record by adding a longer bumper, stretching its total length to 30.54 meters (100 feet and 1.50 inches). Essentially, the American Dream surpassed its record, again becoming the world’s longest limousine.
The entire project, which racked up costs exceeding $250,000 (equivalent to about 190,725 pounds), encompassing shipping, materials, and labour expenses, spanned three years until completion.
The back of it has been made into a helicopter helipad at the very end, but if you think about it, what’s the point of making the world’s biggest limousine if you can’t drive it on the road? Luxury is great, but it’s not useful if someone asks its owner,
“You really couldn’t put it on the road because it’s too long,”
Said Manning. “It was built to be put on display.”
Manning expresses his sentiments about the special car he has worked on for over ten years.
“Yeah, I feel a connection to it. Many people thought I was crazy for wanting to restore it, but I had a clear vision.”
Its rear has been transformed into a golf course, offering a unique experience unlike anything you’ve seen before.
