OpenAI, the leader in cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology, has unveiled a groundbreaking upgrade for its renowned generative AI platform, ChatGPT. ChatGPT can now tap into the internet to deliver up-to-the-minute information, a significant departure from its previous reliance on a static database, last updated in August 2021.
In an announcement via the platform “X,” formerly known as Twitter, OpenAI declared, “ChatGPT can now browse the internet to provide you with current and authoritative information, complete with direct links to sources.” This liberates ChatGPT from outdated data.
Initially introduced in June to paying subscribers, this feature was temporarily paused due to paywall circumventions. Named “Browse with Bing,” this feature is reserved for ChatGPT Plus subscribers and Enterprise services but will soon be accessible to all users.
