EA Unveils New App for Faster and More Streamlined Gaming on PC

EA, one of the leading video game companies in the world, has launched a new PC app to replace its long-standing Origin platform. This new app, which has been in the works for over two years, is designed to offer players a faster, more reliable, and more streamlined gaming experience.

According to EA’s blog post, the new app offers several features that will improve the gaming experience for players. Automatic game downloads and background updates will allow gamers to spend more time playing their favorite games and less time waiting for them to download or update. In addition, the app offers an improved user interface that is more intuitive and easier to use.

For players currently using Origin, EA has stated that they will be invited to switch to the new app soon. When they receive their invitation, all their games and content, including previously installed games, will be ready and waiting for them on the new app. Saves and friends lists will also be transferred over seamlessly.

Players can download the app directly from EA’s website if they want to get their invitation immediately. The download is free and takes just a few minutes to complete.
EA Play and Origin Access Have Been Rebranded

EA has been slowly distancing itself from the Origin branding over the past few years. It rebranded its EA Access and Origin Access services under the EA Play banner, and now it’s launching a new app to replace Origin altogether.

While the new app is set to replace Origin for most players, macOS users will still have to use the Origin app to play their games. There’s no timeline for if or when that might change, but EA has stated that it will share more information as things evolve in the coming months.

EA’s new PC app is just the latest example of the company’s commitment to improving the gaming experience for its players. With features like automatic downloads, background updates, and a more intuitive user interface, players can spend more time playing their favorite games and less time waiting for them to download or update.
