Samsung has started rolling out its latest security update for the Galaxy S10 series, which includes the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. The latest software update comes with firmware version G97xFXXSGHVL1 and includes the December 2022 security patch. This patch is designed to fix 93 security vulnerabilities found in Samsung phones and may also include general bug fixes and stability improvements. Galaxy S10 users in the aforementioned countries can download the update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, they can download the new firmware file from Samsung’s firmware database and flash it manually.
January 2023 security update for Galaxy S10 5G
In addition to the December 2022 security update for the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung has also started rolling out the January 2023 security update for the Galaxy S10 5G smartphone. The update is available in Australia, Austria, France, Italy, Nordic countries, Romania, and the UK. This latest update, identified via One UI build version G977BXXSDHWA3, improves the security, stability, and performance of the device.
Minor software update
Although Samsung has officially ended major software update support for the Galaxy S10 phones, the company is regularly delivering new security patches to maintain the user experience.
