Thailand, known for its robust motorcycle manufacturing industry, is making significant strides in the global market. Despite not having prominent “homegrown” motorcycle brands, Thailand has emerged as one of the world’s largest producers of motorcycles.
With annual motorcycle exports valued at USD $3.0 billion, Thailand ranks as the fourth-largest motorcycle producer globally, trailing behind China, Germany, and Japan. Remarkably, Thailand has surpassed industry giants like India and Italy in terms of export value.
Thailand is already established as one of the world’s largest producers of motorcycles, much of its manufacturing prowess is leveraged by foreign companies such as Honda, Yamaha, BMW, and Ducati, reports New Atlas. Smartech, Felo’s parent company, has positioned itself as a leader in Thailand’s electric vehicle sector.

The domestic market in Thailand is equally impressive, with an estimated 2.0 million motorcycles projected to be sold in 2024. This places Thailand as the fifth-largest domestic market for motorcycles, closely following China, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Felo’s unveiling of the TOOZ marks a significant moment not only for the brand but also for the Thai motorcycle industry as a whole. While Thailand is renowned as one of the world’s largest motorcycle producers, Felo’s emergence in the global market signals a potential shift in the industry’s landscape.
