Xiaomi has officially launched the SU7 Ultra, a high-performance electric sedan that has taken the automotive world by storm. Priced at 529,900 yuan (around $72,988), this sleek and powerful car is making headlines for its incredible speed and cutting-edge technology.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now known as the fastest four-door production car, thanks to its jaw-dropping acceleration. It can go from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 1.98 seconds. This record-breaking speed is powered by Xiaomi’s Super Three-Motor System, featuring a dual V8s + V6s all-wheel-drive layout. With a peak power of 1,548 PS, the SU7 Ultra promises a thrilling driving experience for speed enthusiasts.
One of the most impressive aspects of the SU7 Ultra is its performance at high speeds. The car’s V8 motor spins at a staggering 27,200 rpm, while its torque vectoring system ensures smooth handling and precision. The car can accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.86 seconds and complete a quarter-mile in 9.23 seconds, solidifying its reputation as a high-performance EV.

For stability and control, Xiaomi has equipped the SU7 Ultra with an aerodynamic package. This includes a fixed carbon fiber rear wing, an active rear diffuser, and U-shaped wind blades. These features work together to reduce drag and improve stability, especially at high speeds.
To complement its powerful performance, the car comes with a carbon-ceramic braking system, featuring six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers, ensuring it stops as quickly as it accelerates.
Inside, the SU7 Ultra is a perfect blend of luxury and technology. The cabin is wrapped in 5m² of Alcantara microfiber upholstery, with carbon fiber accents adding to its sporty appeal.
The sports seats are not just about looks—they also feature graphene heating and massage functions, offering both comfort and style. The car’s 25-speaker surround sound system, equipped with active noise cancellation, creates an immersive audio experience for drivers and passengers alike.
The SU7 Ultra is powered by Xiaomi HyperOS, an advanced operating system that integrates smart devices, AI-driven autonomous driving, and real-time navigation. Xiaomi’s Pilot system, backed by two Orin X AI chips, allows for adaptive lane changes, intelligent parking assistance, and other self-driving features. This combination of technology and performance makes the SU7 Ultra a futuristic and highly capable electric sedan.
Charging the SU7 Ultra is both fast and convenient. It features an 897V high-voltage charging system, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 11 minutes. The car offers an impressive 620 km CLTC range, making it suitable for both city drives and long road trips. The SU7 Ultra also supports 5.2C ultra-fast charging, ensuring minimal downtime between drives.

Xiaomi has also given buyers plenty of options when it comes to customization. The SU7 Ultra is available in five striking colors, categorized into Classic, Luxury, and Sports themes. Obsidian Black and Pearl White offer a timeless look, while Space Silver and Parrot Green provide a touch of luxury. For those wanting a bold statement, Lightning Yellow adds a race-inspired aesthetic.
The launch of the SU7 Ultra marks a significant step forward for Xiaomi in the automotive market. Since its pre-sale began in October 2024, the car has received an overwhelming response.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced that the company has already secured over 6,900 new orders, not counting those from the pre-sale phase. With plans to deliver 10,000 units starting in April, Xiaomi is positioning itself as a strong contender in the electric vehicle space.
The company aims to deliver 300,000 vehicles in 2025, further expanding its footprint in the EV market. This rapid growth represents Xiaomi’s commitment to combining technology and automotive innovation.
