Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone giant, has been making waves in the tech industry with its latest 13 series of smartphones. Launched last month in China, the Xiaomi 13 series currently includes two models – the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, the company is not done yet and is preparing to introduce a third model to the series, the Xiaomi 13 Lite.
The Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to be a mid-range smartphone, similar to its predecessors in the 13 series. Ahead of its official launch, the device was spotted on the Google Play Console database, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming device.
The listing reveals the codename of the Xiaomi 13 Lite, which is Ziyi. This is the same codename as the Xiaomi Civi 2, confirming previous reports that the Xiaomi 13 Lite will be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 2. The design render of the device, which closely resembles the Xiaomi Civi, was also revealed through the listing.
The Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to feature a 1080 × 2400 display panel with 440ppi pixel density. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm SM7450 processor, an integrated Qualcomm Adreno 644 GPU, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is built on a 4nm manufacturing process, providing an octa-core CPU with up to 2.4GHz peak frequency. The Xiaomi 13 Lite will come with an 8GB memory option and pre-loaded with Android 12.
