WhatsApp to stop working on millions of phones this year; Here is list

This decision is to ensure WhatsApp works well on a wide range of smartphones, including Android, iOS, and feature phones with different operating systems.

The affected devices include models from big brands like Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Sony, LG, and Apple.

Some of these devices are old, but others have good hardware or can’t be updated. It’s surprising people still use them for WhatsApp.

To keep using WhatsApp safely, the company recommends devices with Android 5.0 or newer, or iPhones with iOS 12 or newer. Devices with older systems won’t get updates anymore, which means they could face security risks.
