Vivo Y01 was launched in India on Monday and is the most recent model in the company’s budget range. The most recent Vivo phone has a waterdrop display and the Octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC.
The Vivo Y01 also comes with 1TB of expandable storage that can be added via the microSD card. It’s available in two colours and comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the rear. It’s scheduled to be launched within the first quarter of 2017. Vivo Y01 will compete against the similar models from Redmi 10A and Samsung Galaxy M02. Redmi 10A and Samsung Galaxy M02.

Vivo prices for Y01 in India are set at approximately Rs. 8,999 for the 2GB RAM and 32GB storage versions. The phone comes in elegant Black or Sapphire Blue colours and will be available for purchase through the Vivo E-Store, as in retailers that aren’t online. The exact details regarding its availability are not yet announced.
In March, the Vivo Y01 was introduced in a handful of African markets, with the exact configuration of 2GB + 32GB.

Dual SIM (Nano) Vivo Y01 runs Android-based Funtouch OS 11.1 and features a 6.51-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) Full-View Halo Display which is 20:9 in size. It is powered by Vivo’s Eye Protection Mode which is believed to cut down on the effects of Blue Light emission. Under the cover, the Vivo Y01 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core SoC and two gigs of RAM. It has a camera that is 8-megapixel on the rear that is accompanied by an LED flash. Additionally, it has an image sensor with 5 megapixels in front.
Vivo is equipped with the Y01 with 32GB of storage which can be further expanded using microSD cards (up to 1TB) through the slot specifically designed for it.
Connectivity options available for Vivo Y01 Connectivity options for Vivo Y01 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and the Micro-USB port. It also comes with an innovative Face Wake feature that helps unlock the phone by looking towards the front of the phone.
The Vivo Y01 packs a 5,000mAh battery that will provide “hours of usage” on only one charge.
