Facebook’s smart TV app lets users access a variety of shows, videos, and live streams available on the platform, which might be available via something other than Apple TV, as first announced in 9to5Mac. However, a few users claim they need help to use the app following the most recent update.

In a thread on MacRumors, one user shares an image of the notice they received after attempting to open Facebook Watch on their Apple TV 4K: “The Facebook Watch TV app is no longer available, but you can still find lots of videos on Facebook at www.facebook.com/watch.” Several other users report having the same experience.

Facebook launched its HTML0 Watch application on Apple TV in 2017, following its initial launch in 2016 on Samsung Smart TVs. The app is available on smart TVs, consoles, and Facebook’s mobile application and desktop website. Anyone who wants to utilize the Watch application to watch on Apple TV will be able to cast Watch using their smartphone to their TV; however, this is more complex than opening an app.

It needs to be clarified whether it’s true that the Facebook Watch app is no anymore available because of a glitch caused by the recent update or if it’s the case that Facebook removed the app completely from Apple TV entirely. However, Apple TV is still listed as one of Facebook Watch’s platforms supported by the appThe Verge called Apple and Facebook to request comments, but they didn’t respond immediately.
