The OnePlus 11 will succeed the OnePlus 10 PRO. Notice that we did not mention the OnePlus 11 Pro. It seems that the OnePlus 11 Pro will be the direct successor to the OnePlus 10 Pro, even though it will still be a OnePlus Pro device. The OnePlus 11 is the only flagship the company will announce in the series, at most in the first half of 2023.
We are still determining why OnePlus would make this change. The change has yet to be confirmed. However, it seems that the company will continue to stick with one flagship strategy. In January 2022, the OnePlus 10 Pro was released as a standalone device. In the second half, the OnePlus10T was released. The OnePlus 11 looks interesting, so let’s find out what we can expect from it.
This article will be updated regularly with new information about the OnePlus 11 (this preview article is a preview) as it becomes available, including official teasers, credible leaks and insider claims. November 15 was the initial publication date.
The OnePlus 11 will feature a familiar design.
The OnePlus 11 design was leaked quite a while back. Its CAD-based renders were leaked in September’s first half. These are the only images we have so far. These images are available in the gallery. These images were taken from reliable sources, so they are likely to be accurate. It does not appear that OnePlus will make any significant changes to the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The camera island at the back of the device will be slightly different if you look closely at the images. However, it is a minor design change. There are three cameras on that camera island. The LED flash is also included. As you would expect, the Hasselblad branding appears in the middle. Hasselblad and OnePlus teamed up with the OnePlus nine series for the first time. That partnership is still active.
An alert slider is included.
The package will include an alert slider. It will be on the right-hand side above the power/lock keys. The volume buttons will be on the left-hand side of the phone. The device will appear to be made of metal and glass while its display will curve. The display camera hole will again be located in the top-left corner. The bezels around the display will also be minimal.
As expected, the specs will be very powerful.
The OnePlus 11 will be the sole device in the series. It will be extremely powerful. This device will be the company’s strongest throughout the year, including the T series smartphone expected to launch in H2 2023. Its specifications have been revealed. Let’s begin with the display. It appears that a 6.7-inch QHD+AMOLED display will be used here. The display will be curved and have a hole for a display camera in the upper-left corner. It will also feature an adaptive refresh rate LTPO panel.
The Snapdragon8 Gen 2 will come paired with up 16GB RAM.
The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The OnePlus 11 will continue to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship SoC. The 16GB RAM will be available on the phone, with OnePlus likely to use LPDDR5X RAM. The company may offer storage up to 256GB or even 512GB. OnePlus could use UFS 4.0 flash storage or UFS 3.1. However, expect something other than storage expansion.
100W charging can also be expected
As expected, a 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned. You can expect fast charging when it comes to the OnePlus flagships. Things won’t be much different this time. According to the OnePlus 11, 100W fast wired charging is available on the OnePlus 11 instead of 80W for the OnePlus 10 Pro. While the OnePlus 10T is faster than that, 100W is still a great speed. We expect 50W and reverse wireless charging to be included in the package.
The phone will have three cameras at the back.
The cameras are you interested? The phone will have three cameras at the back. The phone will include a 50-megapixel main camera with a wide angle (Sony’s IMX890 sensor). The camera will be backed up by a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, Sony’s IMX581 sensor, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, Sony’s IMX709 sensor with 2x optical zoom. Hasselblad will also be in the shot, as the company will assist with colour science and possibly other aspects of the photo-taking process.
The OnePlus 11 will be available in the first quarter of next year.
When will the OnePlus 11 officially go on sale? A tipster claimed it would be in Q12023. This is what we knew. Although we don’t know the exact details, we can guess. In China, the OnePlus 10 Pro was launched in January. The phone was launched globally in March and went on sale in April. We expect something similar with the OnePlus 11. The device might not make its debut in China, however. Although we are still determining why OnePlus changed things with the OnePlus 10 Pro, here it is. OnePlus’s previous flagships launched worldwide from the beginning, but they did not launch in China.
It is likely to cost less than $1,000
How about the price? The OnePlus 10 Pro’s basic model was $899. OnePlus may continue to price the OnePlus 11 in the same way. According to our estimates, the device will be priced between $800 and $900. The price may be the same as that of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
