Small laptops with thin sides are the hottest trend of 2022, and Lenovo is one of the companies to include.

There are a lot of brand new products rolling around in 2022 as the year picks up speed. CES was awash with potential, and sure the promises made are beginning to be brought into reality. 2022 promises to be a massive year for light laptops. Unfortunately, we haven’t yet seen any of CES’s most desired gaming laptops. Still, recently, Samsung has announced its Galaxy Book2 Pro powered by Intel Arc graphics. It appears that Lenovo is joining the party with its new lineup, including the ThinkPad powered by Arm. ThinkPad.

One of the most compelling reasons for the new ThinkPad X13 is its boast of pretty impressive battery life. Due to its Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor, these machines are very light on power. Although this processor is only 9W TDP, that’s pretty small considering Lenovo claims it offers comparable performance to the not named Intel Core i5. Of course, we’d like to try this in person before we believe that hype. But it’s a laptop that can be used all day long without issue. It’s nice to see. With 5G support, I could imagine consuming the battery faster than advertised when using it. It’s like an alternative tablet for those looking for something similar to the form of a Windows 11 laptop. They are available for purchase in May, beginning at USD 1,099.

Lenovo also revealed a new product targeted toward younger gamers with the brand-new IdeaPad Gaming 3 range. Usually, the IdeaPads are affordable ThinkPads that have been trimmed down and laptops, but now they’re targeting gamers. It’s odd. However, the specs offered in model 15″ and sixteen” inch models might make for some exciting models.
Both have Intel and AMD options; however, the Intel versions are slightly better in specs and come with prices to meet. Prospective buyers can either the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H or up to the 12th generation Intel Core i7. It is available with an RTX 3060 for Intel models and the RTX 3050 Ti to support AMD. Add 32GB of DDR4 and 1TB SSDs, and the story of gaming is beginning to unravel a bit.

If you’re looking for a high-end gaming laptop should avoid these, as they aren’t up to quality. However, Lenovo offers its Legion line to meet the needs of this particular niche. Instead, the IdeaPad Gaming 3 appears to be an excellent choice for a cheaper laptop that can also play certain games. However, it’s not the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro that stole our hearts in the past with its unique basic features.

It’s an excellent choice for students who wish to enjoy a little gaming that is less intense between classes or have educational games they want to use on the same computer. Games such as Minecraft and Fortnite will be a breeze to play. The price range will be from $929 to upwards of $1,489 for the most potent Intel model. It may be worth waiting for the updated Legion model or 2022 gaming laptops prices before deciding.
