The relationship between Samsung and Google has grown dramatically over the past few years, and the latter has often been featured in Samsung’s keynotes, and there have been joint ads. Recent news highlights a variety of Google services that run using Samsung hardware.
The original 7/3 begins with a diner at a gathering, using the Google application’s Hum to the Search feature to locate a song stuck to their brains. After it’s found via Google Search, it’s sent to the nearby Samsung television. Following more examples and the “Make it epic” tagline, the video closes with the identification of Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 4 with Google Assistant.
In addition to online, we’ve also seen this ad from Google-Samsung play in a theater before watching a film. Many integrations are pretty evident, but promoting Hum to Search and the relatively recent Google Assistant on the Galaxy Watch 4 can help increase awareness.
Meanwhile, there’s a website accompanying this campaign: samsung.withdomain.com.
In addition to being an S22 Ultra and an S22 Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is being billed as the flagship. Three tentpoles are prominently highlighted:
- Have fun with friends with your friends YouTube previews in Google messages and Duo live sharing
- Get lost in the things that matter the most to you Google Photos Portrait Blurr, Google Images Portrait Blurr.
- Excellent on its own. More fun when you are when you’re all together. The best part is that you can “Get a message to your phone. Respond using the Galaxy Watch4.” & “Seamlessly switch between your phone and tablet.”
Google is also promoting Google Lens on the S22 Ultra and Work Profile using The Fold 3.
