A Japanese billionaire has built one of the world’s most expensive and exclusive racetracks in the mountains of Chiba Prefecture, about an hour from Tokyo. The track, called the Magarigawa Club, cost around $200 million and was originally made so that he could drive cars with his wife and children. The Magarigawa Club, a private playground for one family, has now turned into an invitation-only club.
The track was designed by Hermann Tilke, the man behind many famous Formula 1 circuits in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and other countries. The Magarigawa track stretches over two miles and includes steep hills, long straights, and sharp turns. It has a total of 22 corners and is built to test the limits of even the fastest supercars.
From parts of the track, drivers can see Mount Fuji in the distance and Tokyo Bay below. The scenery makes it unique. One visitor who tested the track described, “It is like racing in the clouds, with mountains watching you.” Another driver joked, “It’s so beautiful here that you almost forget you’re holding the wheel of a supercar.”
The way the track connects to the billionaire’s home is also unusual. It starts near the house, passes between the front porch and the swimming pool, and then disappears into the mountains.

The Magarigawa Club is not only a racetrack, the place offers an infinity pool, restaurants with fine dining, a modern gym, and even a karaoke room. Members who come here are not just racing; they are enjoying a full resort experience.
A guest who visited the club said, “You could spend a whole weekend here and never touch a car, and it would still feel like one of the best resorts in Japan.”
Inside the facility, there is also a climate-controlled pit lane where mechanics are always ready to check, repair, or tune up cars for the members. Everything is designed to make driving simple and enjoyable.
The billionaire wanted the track only for his family. But the idea grew bigger, and today, the Magarigawa Club works as a private club. Membership is not open to everyone. Reports say it costs around $230,000 a year, and only a small number of people are accepted.

On Instagram, the club has already shared videos of rare cars speeding across the track. These include the Lamborghini Revuelto, the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, and the Apollo Evo. A visitor who saw these cars on the track said, “It’s not just a racetrack, it’s a dream park for supercars.”
The Magarigawa Club is also being called the first private racetrack of its kind in Asia. With its 22 corners, steep climbs, and long straights. Around 20 percent of the track goes uphill and 16 percent downhill, making it a thrilling mix for drivers.
When Top Gear’s Tom Brown visited the circuit, he drove a Porsche 911 GT3 RS around the track. After the drive, he said, “You don’t just drive here. You feel like the mountain is alive with you. It’s something I’ll never forget.”
People often ask the question: “If you were a billionaire, what would you do with your money?” Some people say they would give to charity, some say travel, and some dream of shopping or building big houses. But this billionaire’s answer was different. He wanted a place where his wife and children could enjoy cars safely and privately.
And so, he built the Magarigawa Club. A visitor summed it up well, saying, “When you are rich enough, you don’t just buy a car. You build the road for it.”
