Sony has made an AI-powered robotic puppy named ‘Aibo’ (ERS-1000B) for people in the US. This dog uses artificial intelligence, which means it can think and learn. It has many sensors, moving parts, and cameras to act like a real dog. It can return to its charging spot to rest when it’s low energy.
Initially released in Japan and made its way to the United States, this latest model represents the newest look for Sony’s robot pet family.
But what makes this robot friend stand out is its mesmerizing eyes. With the “odd eyes” feature, the Aibo Espresso Edition can show two different eye colours at the same time. Owners can also make their Aibo look unique by picking from four more eye colours.
However, this AI-powered robotic puppy isn’t only focused on appearance. It includes a three-year plan allowing it to learn and develop its personality. This means the more time you spend with it, the more it behaves uniquely, tailored just for you. It learns faces and remembers what brings you joy, making each Aibo Espresso Edition a one-of-a-kind companion.
Sony said:
“From day one, aibo grows and changes, constantly updating its data in the cloud. Over time, your approach to nurturing your Aibo will gradually shape its personality—it could be a doting partner, a wild, fun-loving companion, or anywhere in between. A keen explorer, aibo will learn its surroundings, knowing where to greet you when you get home and can be trained on where to go ‘potty’,”
