We had hoped that Google’s IO would give us our first glimpse of the Google Pixel 6a. We didn’t have to wait long even though it was just two minutes away.
A renowned leaker, EVLeaks, has posted on Twitter to post photos and details about the phone. The renders are available below.

They look like what we expected: An Android 12 phone with a similar bar-like camera bump as Pixel 6 and Pixel 6, but a smaller lens (presumably an ultra-wide and wide sensor with low resolution). The phone looks similar to its predecessor.

In a follow-up, EVLeaks also shared some specifications:

The screen he points out here is what he highlights is the 6.1-inch screen, even though the 60Hz refresh rate may not please, and its Google Tensor chip is like its larger sister.
The specifications list also indicates that some of the top camera features from Google’s Google Pixel 6 family will be carried over, such as Magic Eraser and Face Unblur. In addition, it states that there will be at least five years of security updates, but we’re not seeing the number of Android updates.

This suggests that Google Pixel 6a is coming soon. Google Pixel 6a is launching shortly – and with an IO2022 keynote meeting only a few minutes away, we’re hoping to hear from Google soon.
