Elon Musk has stated that he’s planning to raise the child benefits at his companies as part of his strategy to tackle what he describes as the “underpopulation crisis. “underpopulation crisis” that he believes to be “the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”

Musk is the richest person who owns Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and The Boring Company — and was close to acquiring Twitter until Musk decided to pull out of the $44 billion purchase that was not well-liked by his board of directors.

“Kids are worth it if at all possible,” Musk writes. “I intend to raise the benefits of childcare at my company dramatically. We hope other companies will do similar.” Musk’s announcement is in response to tweets that questioned the financial implications of having more than one kid. Nick Cannon, who also has a family that is growing, even took part as a participant. Musk states that his Musk Foundation will “donate directly to families” as well, but it’s unclear what that means. Musk says he’ll reveal more details about the plans later in the month.

According to The Insider, Tesla currently offers the possibility of up to 16 weeks’ leave for family members and covers up to $40,000 of fertility treatment. Advertisements for jobs at Neuralink mention that they provide parental leave. But, it’s not clear what benefits the family SpaceX as well as The Boring Company have to offer. Musk has discussed the issue of a falling birth rate several times in recent months.

He also repeatedly re-examined the case following an account published by Insider confirmed it was true that Musk is a twin to Shivon Zilis, one of the famous Neuralink executives, Shivon Zilis, last year. While Musk did not explicitly confirm the claims, he tweeted, “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis,” shortly after the accusations were revealed. Musk is currently the father of nine children to him. He’s made big promises to reply to tweets before – some of them have been followed up on, while others did not follow through on as much.

On Twitter, he pledged to donate money to Flint, Michigan, to assist residents with access to clean water. The city recently used the town to unveil drinking fountains that have fresh water at schools.

Musk also responded to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s request to give over Starlink satellites during the Russian assault.

We’ll have to wait to see if Musk can fulfill his word regarding his commitment to enhancing the benefits of children, or if this is an insignificant declaration, as his vow to change the way we use Twitter seems to be.
