iPad are in an increasingly confusing space between laptops and phones. Laptops are becoming lighter as phones get more powerful and have larger displays. The tablet manufacturers aren’t content to rest on their laurels.
The latest tablets aim to bridge the performance gap and, in some cases, perform specific tasks better than laptops and phones.
There are many tablet options. The Amazon Fire HD10 makes a great media streaming device, and the versatile Surface lineup from Microsoft can be used as an ad-hoc laptop when paired with an optional keyboard. The ubiquitous iPad is another popular tablet. It has been the choice of many who are looking for something within the Apple ecosystem and those outside it.
Below are some deals for various Android, iPad, and Windows tablets. To make it easier, we have broken down the agreements by the manufacturer.
We will keep this post updated as more discounts and sales become available. Keep in mind, though there are not many deals available right now, we may see discounts when we enter Amazon prime day, which officially begins on July 12th.
Apple tablet Deals
iPad Air 2020
Apple has significantly discounted its previous-gen iPad Air, the 2020 iPad Air, due to this year’s announcement about a new iPad Air. Although the older model does not have Apple’s lightning-fast M1 chip, the A14 Bionic processor can still deliver plenty of power and should work well with most apps.
You can also use various iPad Air accessories to make the tablet an ad-hoc notebook. The 10.9-inch tablet features a stunning Retina display at 2360×1640 resolution, a wide color gamut, and a USB-C port to charge.
The 256GB Wi-Fi-equipped iPad Air, originally $749, is now available at Walmart for $599.99. You can also get the 64GB version for $469.99 (130 off).
12.9-inch iPad Pro (2021)
The iPad Pro can be described as a scaled-up version of the iPad Air. The Pro’s 12.9-inch display has Apple’s m1 chip.
It also features the same all-aluminum form-factor and the option of 5G connectivity. The 12-inch iPad Pro has a larger mini-led display and supports Face ID.
Walmart currently offers the 12.9-inch, Wi-Fi-only, 256GB iPad Pro for $1,099.99. This is a significant discount from its usual price of $1,199.99.
The 128GB model can be purchased for $999 with Wi-Fi on Amazon, which is a substantial discount from its regular price of $1099.99.
These discounts are attractive, but remember that these models have been at this price for several months. If you plan to buy one, we recommend not paying more than $1,099.99 for the 128GB model or $1,100 for the 256GB model.
