Today’s July security patch will be available for Pixel (4/XL), 4a, 4a5G (5a, 6a, and 6 Pro) smartphones. This should be one of the last Android 12 updates, if not the previous major version of Google OS.

Twelve security problems have been resolved in the Android 12 June patch, dated 2022-07-01, and 21 for 2022-04-05. Vulnerabilities can range from critical to high.

Google’s most recent Android Security & Privacy Year In Review notes that “no major security vulnerabilities affecting Android platforms were publicly disclosed without a mitigation or security update available for Android devices.” Furthermore, 84% more security patches were released in Q4 2018 than in the previous year.

The designated bulletin for Google devices contains one additional security fix. However, the only available update allows “additional voice calling features on certain networks” to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro in EMEA/APAC.

There are three builds for the Pixel 6 series and one for the SQ3A.220705.003 global version.

Update – While Google lists the links below, downloading returns a 404 error for all July builds. Older downloads still work.

Update 2 – All download URLs are now working as of 11:40 AM PT
