The company will raffle the console in a partnership with Paramount Pictures, meaning one lucky user will stand an opportunity to win an exclusive console designed to be inspired by The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film.
A blog post in Xbox Wire announced the competition, and the console has a gold-plated ring around the speaker. The design depicts Sonic and Knuckles displayed on the, and the image is shown on two gamepads that are blue and red and red, respectively.
Anyone with a Twitter account can enter the competition by retweeting Xbox’s official post (below), including #XboxSonic2Sweepstakes. Additionally, Xbox users can redeem their Microsoft Points towards entries. However, the company is yet to reveal details about how to enter.
Sonic 2 is set to hit theatres from April 8 and will continue to display the full scope of its film and gaming crossover. In fact, among the film’s most famous posters thus far is a tribute to the first Sonic 2 box art from 1992’s Sega Genesis game.
The final trailer for the film is also out with a scene that features Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Idris Elba as Knuckles and Jim Carrey as Knuckles.
